Susan Marshall is the Choreographer/ Artistic Director of Susan Marshall & Company, which she founded in 1982. She has created more than thirty works for her own company, in addition to dances which she created for the Lyon Opera Ballet, Frankfurt Ballet, Boston Ballet and Montreal Danse. In 1996, Marshall choreographed and directed Les Enfants Terribles in collaboration with composer Philip Glass. For her choreographic work she has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and five National endowment for the Arts Fellowships, just to name a few. Susan is a profound explorer of human emotion and her work often touches on the challenging experiences of the human condition.
